Mangrove Leaf Extract as a Natural Larvicide Against Aedes aegypti
Kim Dela Cruz
Abstract
Ethanolic extracts of Rhizophora mucronata leaves were tested on third-instar Aedes aegypti larvae. The LC50 at 24 hours was 412 ppm, suggesting a low-cost, locally sourced complement to chemical larvicides for dengue-endemic communities.
